Course description
Lecture:
Artificial intelligence, knowledge engineering, intelligent computer methods – basics notions. Knowledge
representation – first-order logic, temporal logic, rules representation. Fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic theory. Rough
sets. Genetic and evolutionary algorithms. Neural networks, neural-fuzzy and fuzzy-neural systems.
Decentralized and multi-agent systems.
Classes:
Laboratory:
Applying intelligent computer methods to solve well-known NP-complete problems. Implementation of
algorithms with existing programming libraries (e.g. GAlib). Analysis of obtained results and configurations of
the algorithms.
Project:
Objectives of the course
A student should receive a practical knowledge necessary to design and implementation intelligent applications.
Examination method
Lecture: written examination.
Laboratory: preparing reports on made exercises, writing tests during labs
